I want to express words for a bunch of thoughts I have been having around the subject of accepting society’s normal.

As an average everything we do is led from beliefs given to us from what society teaches. We are being constantly shown how to react to life in every circumstance, yet few actually ever do much choosing.

Most of this has been rolling around my noggin in what I call the kardashian effect. Everyone thinks that because this is what success looks like that it is the journey we are supposed to take. Now I am not talking about the actual success of the Kardashians but rather the process of success. Use social media as an example. It has been increasingly popular to build a tribe and glean off its profits for a socially described “easy” lifestyle. This has become a trademark of success. Take any subcategory of this. Podcast, blogging, coaching, fitness or even hobbyist. It is deemed successful when one has a group of people following them and they are also charging for a service. This is a benchmark that all their followers are aiming for.

Yet this is exactly what I am talking about. Why is that success? Just because it is an intentional outcome that one has chosen for themselves does not make it a true label of success for others.

It seems odd that a person can be “giving value” thru daily videos and have an amazing group of people following them yet at the root of what they are expressing is the same level of consciousness as their tribe. IT ISNT ACTUALLY HELPING THEM. It serves the purpose of simply completing the emotional cycle of confirming their current feelings. I honor the quest and certainly feel that it serves a purpose, the universe is using their message, but it is still of a lower level and not empowering others. It is based on the barter system with the universe. At the foundation, they are “giving value” so that they might receive (income) at some point. The overall plan of theirs is to grow in recognition in order to receive. Yes, lots of them have publicly declared how they want to make millions in order to give millions and that that is their driving factor. That is amazing but it still doesn’t empower others to greatness.

Side note: Giving value needs to be re-evaluated as well. If I give you something and walk away and you have no desire for it so you don’t accept it then what I gave you becomes rubbish by the side of the road. Just because it is valuable to the person giving does not make it valuable to anyone else. The term “giving value” has been construed by the current marketing paradigm.

It is the norm to follow people, like the example provided, and to think that their process is the process. The cycle seems to be: look outward to someone who then at some point tells me that all power lies inside while I am still ultimately following them which is outward… Why do we keep teaching, showing and educating everyone that we have to start with following others? Every action taken is always led by the deep internal belief that we are not good enough and that the way is to follow others.

Observe everyone and everything yes, of course, but choose everything for yourself. If you want the level of greatness you are currently dreaming of the way to that is not to follow others. Your internal light will always take you there. Your internal light is never wrong. Ever. Just because society deems a certain belief to be normal does not mean you have to believe it so. Yes, it might be that you choose to believe the same as society has chosen to lead but the very fact that you are choosing is what’s important. This action alone will lead you in ways you’ve never dreamed of because at some point you will be able to make a decision that has a life-altering impact towards your dream. These decisions will never be an option when one is simply following.

In ending, these are just some thoughts of mine I’ve had lately and feel compelled to express them. I am not writing any of this because of a blog standard, I am simply following my intuitive light.

Wow, just wow. 16 months ago I had a closed mindset towards everything in the “drug” world and had only seen pot a few times. Now I am enjoying the plant based medicines with a radically open mind. A few months ago I went all in when I was pulled to Ayahuasca and now I am on a 12-week journey of micro dosing Psilocybin (magic mushrooms). It is quite the experience and one I feel to share with you along the way, simply as a way the universe can use my experience to possibly release some dogma, the same dogma I strongly held prior to.

A few basics first. Micro dosing can be used for a different variety of psychedelics and in my case, mushrooms. The dosage varies per person but is typically a tenth of the moderate to heroes dose. It is a mild amount and does not, done correctly, produce a high or magical state but rather just a heightened state of being. A good friend of mine put it this way. Think a nootropic but a bit stronger and for the entire body, not just the brain. You are able to live your normal life with normal duties. The typical results after a 12-week dosing are amazing. People improving and/or healing past trauma, PTSD, ADHD, depression and so much more. Just spend a few minutes on google…

For me, it was another thing that I felt I needed to do. My soul seeking to express itself, to feel its higher self. I do not feel that I have healing to go thru or radical emotional shifts needed but rather just seeking to know more of me. I do believe it will be a great pairing with the Ironman training I am doing right now and am excited to see if I can notice any benefit’s with it.

Now, week one. I will probably end of doing a separate post of each week, divided into A and B as I am doing 2 doses each week.

A:

This was my very first and I did not know what to expect. I took approx 1 mushroom and mixed it with just hot water creating my magic tea. I sat on the couch and felt it come thru my body. My entire body felt charged and my mind heightened quite a bit. Buzzing might be the most fitting description. It was just under overwhelming. I felt very much “in charge” but definitely not used to the added feeling. It felt really good to just sit and notice the world. Nothing big to note on this outside of my body and being feeling powerful.

B:
I took this dose at my office prior to work and it was just a slightly smaller amount than dose A. This time I read (Conversations with God) and wanted to journal but simply couldn’t put words to anything. The feeling was similar to the dose A but felt much more natural. I absolutely felt at home. I sat in my chair and meditated a bit. That was amazing as I could let go of life very easily so in essence, could have a deep meditation very quickly. I did this several times over the course of 30 minutes just to feel it. I kept wanting to pick up a pen and journal but could not find any words to describe any of the feelings. Life just felt good and whole.

I decided to get up and move around a bit and played with Gambit, my German shepherd dog, a bit and noticed that our connection was very simple. Just a clean and undivided love. Nothing of the human confusion of all the ambient thoughts that we add to every experience. No judgment, just him and I enjoying the moment of now together.

Next, I decided to enter my work world and experience that. I sent a few emails and worked up a couple of quotes and everything felt rather effortless. Nothing much different but rather everything just went rather easily.

Next was a trip to a job site before I had a coaching session with my run coach. During the drive there I noticed then that absolutely nothing could bother me. I had a homeless person drive his bike right in front of me briefly and although it wasn’t a danger of me hitting him event it was one of those things that could’ve been me noticing the “stupidity” of his actions. But now it was simply me noticing him and smiling at him as I recognized a bit of his mindset that corresponded with his actions. Not once did I feel any separation with him. It simply was.

As I left the job site I tried once again to put words to the feelings and ended up with this description.

There was total acceptance of everything that was, thus eliminating all judgment as well as the need to attach time to anything. This was a total flow of life. Since I was accepting everything I had nothing but LOVE for everything and everyone. It very much brought to the forefront my feelings that ayahuasca left me. Massive love for absolutely everything. A feeling that just feels so good. My entire body, frequency, and vibration are felt. I could feel energy throughout my entire body. Simply amazing. It is who I AM, feeling my higher self, and that is a state of being that you can only describe as feeling. Words do not touch this realm.

Now as I sit at the keyboard thinking about what to write next I have only feelings. I have not ever been able to translate feeling into words. It is like everything that you are, joy, light, and love, is accelerated and inflated to a point that transcends the process of thinking thru everything.

Your external life is a direct representation of your inward self. The current life you are living is the exact life that you feel you should be living.

We know that life operates as a man thinketh. Your thoughts govern your outcome in many a way. Self talk is one of the leading edges of who you are choosing to become. When you look at your body in the mirror with some form of self disgust and you hear that inner voice describing how many ways its unsatisfied with your appearance that is greatly effecting the ease of change, the resistance to a newer stronger body. This is just an example. Take another look at the success of some famed athletes. They told themselves day after day that they “were the best” in their field. This positive use of their inner voice led to them actually feeling that they were. Conner McGregor is a modern example of this. He was living in poverty yet believed he was a champion, and the end result still stands today.

Your feelings is the key to changing your outside (external) world. It is not just enough to desire to be different or better. You must lead with the inner belief that you already are ____________(insert the feelings of your desire).

A method of this would be to go to the place of your desire during a meditation. If it is a financial desire then go past the thoughts of a fat bank account and go all the way to the results of an abundance of money. The end result of a fat account would be the feeling of stocking your fridge with the food you choose to because cost is irrelevant. The feeling of driving to an appointment at 10:00 in the morning in the vehicle of choice, the feeling of choosing what you want to do when you decide to do it, all because you have the bank account to support these desires. Live in that “future” moment and all its pleasurable feelings that then you have created the void that nature cannot have. This void is what causes the Universe to spin in your favor bringing everything it needs to you in order to close the void.

The depth of your feelings is the strength of the creation.

Feelings is the expression of the consciousness. The way you feel is the exact life you are creating, because at your center, it is the life you desire.

All other choices are in actuality reactions to what you are feeling.

You have no doubt heard of evening mantras, of telling yourself, of giving yourself a mental reset before going to bed. There is great power behind this. Each night, right before falling asleep, go into the feeling of how you would like your day to be upon waking and see what happens.

Life can be extremely fun and rewarding when one follows their intuition. New experiences are always unfolding and a seemingly ever expanding awareness happens when led by intuition.

This here blog is a good example. It was intuitively suggested and since I gave my word to honor and follow the universal direction it was born. What will come out of it for you I cannot begin to know but for me, growth. Growth in some form or another, whether its the practice of writing copy, whether its the eliminating of the fear of the world knowing some of my rambles or the learning of wordpress.

The outcome does not need to matter. What matters is that when one follows their intuition it is the leading edge of what might happen, of what will follow. When following your gut and choosing to act on that initial feeling you are exposed to the power of the universal greatness. That is the leading edge. That is a place that has not been tapped into by anyone previous to you. It is uncharted waters that can hold tremendous reward. It is a place of freedom…

Your “gut” is the solar plexus of your body. It is the ganglionic mass at the back of your stomach.  The vagus nerve passes out of the cerebral region and becomes identified with the nerves of the sympathetic system thus making the link. This is the feeling of the universal communication and how it is made whole in the body.

Have you ever listened to your gut? All thru my life as a business owner I’ve always heard that term “listen to your gut”. When I was young I didn’t quite understand but in my late teens I started noticing the feeling. It’s a definite and noticeable “churning” in the gut that when you start to recognize it you will not mistake the feeling.

The thing is – the older I became and the busier I made my life the less I started to feel it. Yes, I always felt it in business (seemed like I had an unfair advantage at times) but in life it was much quieter. Or rather my life had too much ambient noise and distractions to allow me to notice it. Seems like a deep connection to the Bible in reference to the still small voice…

Intuition can be talked about like a muscle. If you don’t use it diminishes slowly. As well as if you do not follow it right away you will reap the same rewards as not using it but perhaps a bit slower.

The Universe operates on a set of principles. If you do not take action on your intuition then essentially you are saying “no thanks” so the Universe will end up respond in kind, and slow down the information to you. Think of it as a conduit. When you follow your intuition you end up opening the conduit allowing more but if you choose to make your own path by not following the intuition you are closing the supply.

The leading edge of following your intuition will quite possibly open up every greatness and freedom that you’ve desire. It is on of the trademark habits of every successful person I know.

In leaving I’d challenge you to reflect back on your life and examine the beginning steps of every large success moment you’ve had. Look and see if you can recognize what led you on that particular path. Can you feel your intuition? Seeing the past moments of its use will help you recognize it today.
